In this section, we'll address the opening prayer for your service. Generally speaking this is a short prayer to keep families happy. It has been our experience that most couple have someone in the family who is very religious, and the couples do not want to offend them by omitting this important element from the service. Below you'll find some simple and quick prayers that I have used over the years when performing weddings. Feel free to modify them as you like. OPENING PRAYER 1. We now ask for a moment of silence to think of and remember those in our hearts who cannot or could not be with us today. Father we ask that you bless this couple and this union today. Guide them in all that they do as a couple. Strengthen them in times of weakness and encourage them in times of fear.
